Parasitic skin problems come when small organisms live on or under skin.
Scabies:
Tiny mites burrow under skin, cause intense itching worse at night, red lines or bumps. spreads by close contact.
Lice:
Head lice in hair, body lice on clothes, pubic lice in groin. cause itching and small red bites. spread by sharing combs, clothes or bedding.
Leishmaniasis:
Parasite from sandfly bite, leads to sores that may not heal, sometimes leave scars.
Cutaneous larva migrans:
Hookworm larvae from soil or sand get into skin, cause winding red itchy tracks.
Myiasis:
Fly larvae grow inside skin wounds, painful lumps with discharge.
Care needs proper medicine to kill parasite, clean hygiene, avoid sharing items, and protect from insect bites.
