Allergies and intolerances happen when body reacts badly to certain things. Allergies involve immune system attacking harmless stuff like pollen, dust, pet hair, foods, insect stings. Signs include sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, rashes, swelling, breathing trouble. Food allergies can cause hives, stomach upset, even dangerous reactions.

Intolerances are different, not immune but body can’t handle some substances. Common ones are lactose intolerance (trouble digesting milk), gluten sensitivity, reactions to food additives. Symptoms are bloating, gas, cramps, diarrhea, headache.

Avoiding triggers is main step. Allergy tests, food diaries, elimination diets help find causes. Mild cases managed with antihistamines or enzyme supplements, severe ones may need medical help and emergency care.

Allergies and intolerances show up in many ways. Allergies trigger the immune system and can bring sneezing, watery eyes, rashes, swelling or even serious breathing problems. Intolerances don’t involve the immune system but cause bloating, cramps, diarrhea or headaches when the body can’t handle certain foods. Lactose, gluten and additives are common examples. Finding the trigger usually needs testing or food tracking. Some people manage with antihistamines or enzyme support, but severe reactions always need quick medical attention.
