Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition where mood shifts between two extremes. at one time person feels very high energy, excited, talks fast, sleeps little, takes risks (this is mania). At other time person feels very low, sad, empty, no interest in life, tired all day (this is depression). Mood changes can last days, weeks or longer. causes linked with brain chemicals, stress, trauma, family history. Treatment often includes mood stabilizer medicine, therapy, regular sleep, avoiding drugs or alcohol. Early help makes life more stable and reduces sudden mood swings.

A man wakes up feeling on top of the world, talking fast, starting projects, no need for sleep. days later the same man lies in bed unable to move, empty and silent, not caring for food or friends. His family watches confused, not knowing which version of him will appear. After months of chaos a doctor explains it’s bipolar disorder, with treatment, steady sleep, and support, the storms soften. Life doesn’t become perfect but the waves stop drowning him, giving space for calmer days.
